Remembrance Day was observed at our Pre-School Amarillo Campus on Wednesday, November 11th. The song “Last Post” was played over the P.A. system at 11:00 a.m. with all students standing for two minutes of silence. It was a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by members of the Canadian armed forces and civilians at large during times of war. During the week of November 9th students participated in Remembrance Day activities in their classroom. Each student received a special Remembrance Day bookmark and activity booklets from the local veterans’ association.
Due to COVID-19 and in lieu of collecting coin donations this year, students, parents and staff were encouraged to donate online through the Royal Canadian Legion’s website. Donated funds support Veterans and their families and promote Remembrance.
