Mathematica Centrum Contests (Grades 3–9)

Overview:

• Hosted by the Mathematics Contest Centre
• Prestigious national contests for Grades 3–9.
• 36,015 students participated across Canada.
• All TCPS students from Grades 3–8 participated; select Grade 8 students also wrote the Grade 9 Newton Contest.

TCPS Highlights:

• 9 students achieved perfect scores, including one in Grade 9.
• 40 students placed on the Mathematica Honour Roll.

Overview:

• Hosted by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo.
• Designed to promote logical reasoning and problem-solving.
• Multiple-choice format based on national curriculum.

TCPS Highlights:

• Outstanding Achievement Award:
  • Grade 7: Alexander C.
  • Grade 8: Isaac L.
• 30 students received the Certificate of Distinction (top 25% nationally).
