Message from the Director

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome all families to the 2025–2026 academic year at Town Centre Private Schools. We are proud to continue our commitment to excellence in education as York Region’s only International Baccalaureate Continuum World School, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).

To our returning families, welcome back. To those joining our community for the first time, we extend a warm and sincere welcome. We look forward to working in partnership with you to support your child’s academic and personal development.

Throughout the summer, many students remained actively engaged through our Summer Camp, which provided meaningful learning experiences and opportunities for exploration across our Pre-School and Elementary divisions.

In preparation for the new school year beginning September 2nd, our staff have been diligently working to ensure a smooth and successful start. This includes curriculum enhancements, the integration of upgraded IB software to support instructional delivery, and the implementation of a fully automated telephone and public address system across both campuses. Once complete, this will significantly improve internal communication and enhance our ability to reach parents quickly and efficiently reinforcing our commitment to responsiveness and transparency.

Last year, our students participated in a wide range of enriching activities, including the Christmas Concerts, the Elementary STEM Fair and TED Talks, and the High School’s theatrical production of Alice in Wonderland. A group of Secondary students also took part in an educational tour of the Mediterranean coasts of Italy and France. Building on the success of that experience, we are organizing a similar international learning opportunity this year in Costa Rica.

As we look ahead, we anticipate another year filled with meaningful learning opportunities and engaging school-wide events. To stay informed, we encourage all parents to download the myTCPS app, which serves as our primary platform for school communication. Additionally, we invite you to follow us on our official Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) pages to stay up to date with the latest news, events, and highlights from across our school community.
