A Four-Day Journey Through History: Our Quebec City Experience

From June 8–11, our students embarked on an enriching four-day journey to Quebec City, bringing Canada’s history and culture to life beyond the classroom. This thoughtfully designed overnight experience blended guided tours, hands-on learning, and cultural exploration, helping students deepen their understanding while building lasting connections.

Aligned with curriculum expectations, the program immersed students in Canadian history, geography, and French-Canadian heritage. Highlights included guided walking tours through Old Quebec’s Upper and Lower Towns and an interactive battlefield workshop at the Plains of Abraham, where key moments in history came alive.

Students also explored the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and experienced the natural beauty of Canyon Sainte-Anne, crossing its suspension bridges. At the Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum, they participated in a hands-on workshop, creating their own copper art. A traditional sugar shack dinner offered an engaging look at Quebecois culture and cuisine.

Students stayed at Hotel Universel, where safety remained a priority through curfews, room checks, and overnight security. Evenings included supervised group activities that encouraged camaraderie and strengthened friendships.

This memorable trip combined education and adventure, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for Canada’s heritage and experiences that will stay with them for years to come.
