The first day of school is always a special occasion. It is a time for students to reconnect with friends and teachers, embrace new experiences, and create new friendships. The energy and enthusiasm throughout our campuses reflected the promise and opportunity that each new school year brings. Today also marked the official unveiling of Project Inspire, a major revitalization initiative completed over the summer at our Clayton campus. Designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and long-term durability, Project Inspire has transformed the campus’s outdoor spaces, including the playground, greenspace, and parking lot. The new playground features: Enhanced Sports Activity Centre with rebuilt asphalt surfaces and painted activity zones Expanded Playground Structure Area, increasing play space by 60%, complete with new surfacing and improved drainage New Amenities, including shade sails, buddy benches, soccer goals, funnel ball stations, and newly planted trees In addition to the playground enhancements, the project included the complete reconstruction of the campus parking lot, further improving the experience for students, families, and staff. The highlight of the day was seeing the students’ reactions. Their surprise and delight as they explored the new playground spaces was a wonderful reminder of why initiatives like Project Inspire matter. Watching them run, play, and discover new opportunities for connection and activity brought the vision of the project to life. As we begin this milestone year and celebrate four decades of educational excellence, we look forward to the many achievements, friendships, and memories of the year ahead.
