A Summer of Discovery, Creativity, and Adventure in Pre-School Camp

July has been a joyful and activity-filled month for children in our Montessori Pre-School Summer Camp program. From engaging weekly themes and special visitors to exciting treat days, campers have embraced every opportunity to learn, play, and create. To stay cool during the warm summer days, students have especially enjoyed our weekly Water Splash Fun Days paired with a cool treat, spending time in the Pirate’s Bay inflatable water play park and creating lasting summer memories with their friends.

During Week 3, campers explored the theme “Colours of Light.” Children participated in a variety of hands-on activities and creative projects, including making sun catchers, creating torchlight silhouettes, and experimenting with different painting techniques. Through interactive science activities, students discovered how colours mix and change, encouraging both curiosity and early scientific thinking in a fun and engaging environment.

This week’s theme, “Bugs and Insects,” has inspired even more creativity. Using construction paper, playdough, paper plates, and a range of art materials, students have been busy designing their own insect-themed creations. The week will conclude with a lively Bug Parade, where children can proudly showcase their work and celebrate all they have learned.

Campers were also delighted by a special performance from Magic Phil, whose interactive show brought excitement and laughter to the week. To add to the adventure, students are looking forward to an upcoming visit to Tiny Town Vaughan, an indoor educational play centre designed to foster social development, communication skills, and imaginative play through hands-on exploration.

Our Pre-School Summer Camp runs until August 28, and there are many exciting experiences still to come. With enriching themed programs, outdoor adventures, creative projects, and opportunities to build friendships, each day offers children a wonderful balance of learning, discovery, and summer fun.
