SSAF Under 20 Bowling Champions, Again! Congratulations to the TCPS High School Co-Ed Bowling team who won the SSAF U20 Co-Ed Bowling Championship on March 6th for the second consecutive year. The TCPS team had the highest collective score and two students also earned individual medals. Hassan N. earned a silver medal for the second highest individual score and Brendan M. won a bronze medal for the third highest individual score. Dev P. earned the third highest TCPS score and together these players secured our back to back Championship win! Congratulations to the players and coaches! Elementary Co-Ed Bowling Champions! Ten Elementary students travelled to World Bowl on March 5th and participated in the SSAF Elementary Co-Ed Bowling Championship. An average of the top 3 individual scores from each school were tabulated and Town Centre was awarded the Championship win with the overall highest score! Congratulations to Dylan V. who won a gold medal for individual highest score and to Raphael C. and Jaime R. who had the top 3 scores for Town Centre. The team had a great day of bowling, and their efforts have added another banner to our Main Gymnasium Championship display. Well done! I Read Canadian I Read Canadian is a new nationwide initiative that celebrates the richness,diversity, and breadth of Canadian literature. The goal of the program is for families, schools, libraries, bookstores, and organizations to host activities and events by reading Canadian books for just fifteen minutes. The TCPS grade 1 students gathered for an assembly on February 19th reading their own books as well as reading together an Epic on-line book. Part of this initiative is to instill is students the benefits of reading regularly in addition to other activities.
