TCPS Wins 3 Readers’ Choice Awards Under 20 Girls’ Volleyball Semi-Finalists! The U20 Girls’ Volleyball had an incredible year. Despite facing some strong teams, the TCPS U20 Girls’ Volleyball team went undefeated during the regular season. On February 28th the team headed to the Championship round at Toronto Waldorf. The girls won their first game against Whitfield Christian School 2 sets to 0. Their next match against Metro Prep was riveting, ending in a 1-1 tie. The girls faced Hudson College next and fought their way through but unfortunately lost 2 sets to 0. After the round robin games, the team learned they made it through to the semi-finals because of their head-to-head standing and point differential with Metro Prep. They faced ARS in a best 2 of 3 games and won their first set, handing ARS their first set loss all season. Unfortunately, ARS rallied back and ended up winning 2 sets to 1. The girls gave it their all and the coaches couldn’t be more proud! We are looking forward to what next year holds. Under 20 Boys’ Basketball Semi-Finalists! The U20 Boys’ Basketball team had a great season with good improvement over last year ending the regular season with a record of 7 – 3. In the playoff round the team advanced to the final four of the Tier One playoffs. In their final game of the season, the team demonstrated great defense, but sadly lost 75-59 to the undefeated team from Metro Prep in Semi-Final play. Overall, this has been an amazing season with the hard work and dedication of the players paying off in game results. The team should be very proud of all they have accomplished. Great work!
