Building Bridges to High School: TCPS Hosts Outreach DayElementary School NewsHigh School NewsTCPS News News TCPS News Pre-School News Elementary School News High School News On Thursday, October 16, Town Centre Private Schools hosted its High School Outreach Day, welcoming grade 6, 7 and 8 students for an immersive experience. At Town Centre Private Schools, we feel it is important to have our grade 6, 7 and 8 students be familiar with the High School and integrate them early on allowing our students to not only smoothly transition into our High School as they are already familiar with some of our events, staff, and students, but also get a head start on planning their academic futures. The grade 6 students rotated through a series of interactive workshops, each highlighting a different extracurricular club. These hands-on sessions allowed them to explore new interests, meet club leaders and faculty, and get excited about future involvement. Our grade 7 students embarked on a classroom “passport” adventure, completing mini challenges and collecting stamps as they learned about high school courses and curriculum. This engaging activity offered a fun and informative glimpse into academic life while encouraging curiosity and connection. Grade 8 students participated in a fast-paced “HS Bell Ringer” session, engaging with high school mentors to ask questions about school life, clubs, university prep, and tips for success. This dynamic format fostered meaningful conversations and helped build early mentorship bonds. The event gave our grade 6-8 students a firsthand look at the vibrant TCPS High School community, helping them feel more confident and excited about the journey ahead.
