This year, we had enough interest in curling to form two Elementary teams. During the morning session on February 23rd, our teams along with the other SSAF school warmed up and practiced ahead of the championship round. Some schools were very experienced but our players didn’t let that intimidate them as they were determined to do their best.
Congratulations to the team of Darcy T., Cindy L., Mackenzie D., Mackenzie H. and Ashna V. who earned the highest points overall and won the Elementary Co-Ed Curling Championship. They preformed well during round robin play tying their first two games and finished strong winning their last two games.
Our second team of Lauren L., Sabariha U., Radin G., Tavaris G. and Austin P. put in a great effort winning their first game, tying their second game and losing their final two games placing 4th overall.
Our players showed great teamwork and sportsmanship! Outstanding!
