Learn Not to Burn: A Firefighter Experience to Remember

This engaging and educational program, designed especially for younger elementary students, is led by Captain Sutherland and his dedicated team from the Markham Fire Department. Offered to students in Grades 1 and 2, the program features interactive fire safety sessions held throughout the school year. Firefighters share important safety information, answer students’ questions, and emphasize key practices such as regularly checking smoke detectors and developing a family fire escape plan.

Our first of multiple events this year, was a visit from fire fighters on Thursday, January 29^th will a special in school presentation.

This memorable experience was a fantastic addition to our school’s programming and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students.
