This immersive outdoor experience provided the perfect opportunity for students to learn, explore, and grow together in a safe and supportive environment. Cedar Glen’s program is designed to foster teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving through hands-on activities and shared challenges. Throughout the trip, students took part in a wide range of engaging experiences, including low and high ropes courses, archery, an outdoor maze, orienteering, and climbing wall activities. They also developed outdoor living skills through fire and shelter building, and enjoyed guided nature walks that deepened their connection to the natural world. Evenings around the campfire created meaningful moments for reflection and bonding, helping to strengthen friendships and build a strong sense of community among the group. Team-building initiatives woven throughout the program encouraged students to collaborate, communicate, and support one another. The Cedar Glen experience is a highlight of the Grade 6 year, offering students the chance to build confidence, resilience, and lasting connections—both with their peers and the environment around them.
