Many Cultures, One Community: Preschool & Grade 1 International DayElementary School NewsPre-School NewsTCPS News News TCPS News Pre-School News Elementary School News High School News Every year on March 21, the United Nations observes the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination—a global call to promote inclusion, equality, and unity while standing firmly against racism in all its forms. To honour this meaningful day, the Amarillo Campus celebrated International Day on Friday, March 27. Students were encouraged to wear clothing that reflected their cultural heritage, country, or region, and families generously contributed delicious dishes representing their diverse backgrounds. Our Senior Preparatory and Grade 1 classes led a special assembly, showcasing cultural dances, readings, and songs performed by both groups and individual students. Their presentations highlighted the rich traditions and unique stories that make our school community so vibrant. It was truly heartwarming to see our students proudly dressed in their cultural attire—celebrating not only their own heritage but also embracing and appreciating the cultures of their classmates. The day served as a wonderful reminder of the strength and beauty found in diversity, and of our shared commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
