A currently grade 2 student at Town Centre Private Schools, Riya, wrote the book “Heart of the Sea” when she was only 6 years old. The main character Olivia was guarding the Heart of the Sea when a boy took it away without asking. He could be in big trouble! Will Olivia find the Heart of the Sea or will it be gone FOREVER and destroy the sea? This heartwarming story was published in November 2021 and has been added to our school library.
At our recent Scholastic Book Fair Riya, had the opportunity to share her book and read it to our grade 1 classes. The students enjoyed the story and had some great questions for the author about her experience in creating this book. The students names were entered into a draw and two lucky grade one students received a gift bag from Riya.
