STRIVE for Wildlife: Exceeding a Fundraising MilestoneHigh School NewsTCPS News News TCPS News Pre-School News Elementary School News High School News One of TCPS’s most popular and impactful clubs, STRIVE—Students Taking Responsibility and Initiative in Volunteering Everywhere— continues to exemplify the spirit of service and leadership within our school community. Built on the guiding principle of “Kids Helping the Community,” STRIVE empowers students to successfully balance their academic commitments while giving back to both local and global causes. Each year, STRIVE members thoughtfully select a charitable organization to support and design creative fundraising events to advance their mission. This year, the club proudly partnered with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), committing to a global fundraising goal of $1,250. Through a series of engaging and community-centered initiatives—including $5 civvies days, a Halloween Movie Night featuring raffle baskets, Halloween candy sales, a Buyout High School Girls’ Basketball game, and festive Christmas candy grams—STRIVE steadily built momentum toward their goal. Their final fundraising event took place on February 5, with a Buyout High School Girls’ Volleyball game. Not only did the volleyball team secure an impressive 3–0 victory, but STRIVE exceeded expectations by raising an outstanding $1,500 for WWF. As the club prepares to set a new local goal for Semester 2, we congratulate the STRIVE members on their remarkable achievement. Their dedication, creativity, and commitment to service are a powerful reflection of teamwork, leadership, and community spirit in action—at TCPS and beyond.
