Students are diving deep into leadership theory and practice, with hands-on projects that bring textbook concepts to life. Today’s highlight? A Motivational Theories Poster Presentation. Students selected a theory from the curriculum, created a visual summary including definitions, pros and cons, and explained why it resonated with them personally. It was a powerful exercise in self-awareness and communication. Other engaging projects in the course include: CSR Report: Analyzing how major corporations approach Corporate Social Responsibility, with a focus on ethics, human resources, and environmental impact. Teamwork & Management Styles Presentation: Exploring how different companies foster collaboration and lead their teams. Case Studies: Investigating real-world business challenges and organizational structures at companies like Vancity, Trader Joe’s, Zara International, Amazon, HBC, and Starbucks. NEW! Business Communication & Presentation Mastery Workshop Launched today, this dynamic 2-week workshop is open to students from Grades 7 to 12. It’s all about boosting public speaking and presentation skills building confidence and professionalism through hands-on activities designed to improve communication in business and everyday life. The opening activity? A team-based structure-building challenge where students raced to complete a task faster than their peers. The takeaway: success in business often comes down to effective teamwork and clear communication.
