Clayton Campus Grade 2 – 8 November Bulletin TCPS Surpasses a ¼ Million Dollars Raised for the Terry Fox Foundation For the 19th consecutive year, the students and staff at Town Centre Private Schools from the Pre-School, Elementary and High School Divisions have embraced Terry’s dream to find a cure for cancer. Leading up to our annual Terry Fox Run, the focus was on fundraising and creating awareness of Terry Fox, while highlighting his courage and determination in his attempt to run across Canada. Terry Fox’s memory and legacy continues to grow through student involvement and generous financial contributions, all the while fostering our school spirit and our commitment to “give back” to our community and support this worthy cause. This year, Town Centre Private Schools collectively raised $8,266.65. Since 2006, TCPS has raised an amazing grand total of $256,201.48 for the Terry Fox Foundation! High School Academic Awards The Grades 9 – 11 Academic Awards for 2023-2024 were presented on Thursday, October 3rd. With proud family members in attendance, students received certificates for reaching Town Centre’s Honour Roll (achieved an overall average of 80% or higher) and the Principal’s Honour Roll (achieved an overall average of 90% or lighter), which recognizes consistently high academic achievement. A variety of medals were also awarded to those who participated in Canada-wide math competitions. The ceremony concluded with the Subject Awards in Arts, English, Modern Languages, Mathematics, Physical Education, Canadian and World Studies, Business and Social Sciences, recognizing students who demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and genuine interest and ability in the classroom. We are so proud of the high level of academic achievement demonstrated by our students and we look forward to their accomplishments in the coming school year!
