Amarillo Campus Pre-School and Grade 1 September Bulletin

TCPS Hosts Successful 2nd Annual University Fair

As our grade 12 students embark on their final year of high school, the time has come for them to make crucial decisions about their university choices for September 2025.

On September 16th, TCPS proudly hosted its 2nd Annual University Fair, featuring representatives from prestigious institutions such as the University of Toronto, York University, McMaster University, Western University, University of Guelph, Brock University, the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Trent University, Toronto Metropolitan University, Ontario Tech University, the Ontario College of Art and Design University, and the University of Leicester graciously represented by TCPS alumnus, Manojh Rajasri.

The fair welcomed families with children in grades 6 through 12, resulting in an impressive turnout. Parents and students had the opportunity to explore various university programs and gain insights into our high school offerings for elementary students.

University representatives provided valuable information on the application process and guidance on researching potential program choices. In the coming months, individual conferences with High School Vice-Principal Mr. Huber will be scheduled to support and guide the graduating class through this important journey.

Celebrating a Year of Athletics: Elementary Sports Awards Assembly

As the school year drew to a close, our Main Gymnasium buzzed with excitement on June 25th at the annual Elementary Sports Awards Assembly. Each student in grades 2 to 8 proudly sporting their House League T-shirts, rallying behind their team colors—Blue Thunderbirds, Green Dragons, Red Phoenixes, and Yellow Gryphons.

Throughout the year, these spirited competitors engage in special events and activity days, accumulating points for their respective Houses. And this year, the Red Phoenixes soared to the top, earning them the championship! TC the Tiger, our beloved school mascot, presented the gleaming Cup to the triumphant Red Phoenixes, igniting cheers and applause that echoed through the gymnasium.

Each year a female and male athlete of the year are selected from students in grades 5, 6 ,7 and 8. The grade 7 and 8 recipients were awarded their medals at the Grade 7 Awards Ceremony and Grade 8 Graduation earlier this month.  Congratulations to our grade 5 and grade 6 Athlete of the Year recipients:

Zoe T. – Grade 5 Female Athlete of the Year Sheldon Y. – Grade 5 Male Athlete of the Year
Syna S. – Grade 6 Female Athlete of the Year Nathan Z. – Grade 6 Male Athlete of the Year
