Grade 8 Graduating Class of 2024 Step into the vibrant world of the Grade 8 Graduation Class of 2024, where on the morning of June 19th, each of the 59 graduates took centre stage to receive their hard-earned certificates. Amidst a sea of applause that cascaded from proud parents, beaming staff and fellow students. In addition to the formal graduation protocol, were adorned with medals that symbolized their exceptional achievement. Students were also presented with their individual medals in the following areas: Honour Roll (80% average or higher), Principal’s List (90% average or higher), Canada wide Mathematica and Gauss Math contests top ranking students, STEM Fair and TED Talks winners. Special commendations were also awarded to those who excelled in specific subjects. Wearing their caps and gowns for their final day at TCPS, students came to the stage to be presented with their Ontario Secondary School Diplomas (OSSD). In addition to receiving their OSSD’s, graduates were also recognized with certificates and plaques for Honour Roll for achieving an overall average of 80% or higher and Principal’s List having achieved an overall average of 90% or higher. Sixteen graduates were presented with full IB Diplomas. It’s a momentous occasion for these students as they transition to the next chapter of their lives! Our students will be heading off to the University of Toronto, McMaster University, Western University, Toronto Metropolitan University, York University, University of British Columbia and Western University to name a few. Scholarships have been granted to 83% of the TCPS graduating classes. We wish the graduating class of 2024 all the best for the future. Savouring Summer Camp: A Splash of Fun and Cool Treats Last week, our Amarillo Campus was buzzing with excitement as we kicked off our annual Pre-School Camp Days. Under the radiant June sun, from toddlers to our senior preparatory students, everyone immersed themselves in a day filled with outdoor adventures and refreshing water activities. Laughter echoed across the playfield as our young campers played in the inflatable splash pools. The highlight of the day? A visit from the ice cream truck, which treated our enthusiastic crowd to a delightful array of frozen delights. For both students and staff alike, it was a day to remember—one that perfectly captured the joy and camaraderie that define our summer camp experience.
