Currently in it’s 45th year, DECA is an innovative, experiential learning program that is designed to help students learn more about business. By role-playing, examining case studies, participating in business scenarios and making presentations, TCPS students learn how to apply the skills they’ve learned in business studies to the real world. Students participate in a variety of contests that test their knowledge of different subjects, including accounting, entrepreneurship, leadership and management, international business, marketing and merchandising, and information and communication technology.

Several TCPS DECA members joined over 6,200 students and participated in the Provincial Competition round this past weekend in downtown Toronto after advancing from the Regional competition held in the fall of 2023.  This fierce competition is loaded with award ceremonies, sponsor showcases with a scavenger hunt and draws, and evening entertainment.

Our students achieved 3 finalist medals and 1 Provincial Championship! Congratulations to Ahtesham U.H. on his medal and very well done to the team of Ethan B. and Tommy Y., who were Provincial Champions in their event and qualified for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) Competition in Anaheim California from April 25 – May 2, 2024.
