Go Leafs Go! The Toronto Maple Leafs kicked-off their first playoff game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday, April 18th! To show our support for the Leafs, TCPS students and staff participated is a special Blue & White day. This school-wide event encouraged students to wear their Maple Leaf jersey or clothing that was blue and white. We had a great response and look forward to cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs as they continue in the NHL playoffs. Go Leafs Go! University of Toronto visits TCPS for a Forensics Workshop On April 18th, grade 11 and grade 12 students participated in an in-person, interactive Forensics Science workshop, hosted by Dr. Luk and Ms. Gapinska, from the University of Toronto. This workshop was composed of a general overview of forensic science and hands-on activities, where emphasis was placed on impression evidence and spectroscopy. Fingerprinting techniques demonstrated how different types of light are used to reveal evidence and learn about the inherent properties of matter. Thank you to Dr. Luk, Ms. Gapinska and the University of Toronto for this unique workshop and exploration into the world of forensics.
