Annual Christmas Food and Toy Drive As a part of the Elementary division’s Student Activity Council (SAC) activities, this group of eager students helped organize our annual Food and Toy Drive in support of the Markham Fire Department who distribute collected donations to local charities in need. Students and their families were invited to donate new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items. Collectively, the Elementary students were able to donate several boxes of food and toys. Sharing our Christmas spirit with those less fortunate is the true spirit of the season. Town Centre Private Schools thanks everyone for their generosity at this special time of the year. Annual Food and Toy Drive for Markham Fire Department The students at the Amarillo Campus were very busy during December lending Santa a helping hand by bringing new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items to be donated to the school’s Annual Christmas Food and Toy Drive in support of the Markham Fire Department. The generosity of all the students and parents was greatly appreciated by the Fire Department who accepted the donations. At this very special time of the year, it is heartwarming to see the excitement on the students’ faces as they offer their donations in the spirit of the holiday season. Once again, TCPS Amarillo Campus made a significant contribution to the community this year. Thank you for your continued support and generosity! Toy Donation to Markham Stouffville Hospital The TCPS Elementary Student Activity Council and High School representatives, along with Elementary Vice-Principal Mrs. Bowerbank, graciously presented Ms. Atkinson, Child Life Specialist of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Children’s Ward, with several large bags full of toys. For several years, the students, parents and staff at TCPS have enthusiastically participated in our Christmas Toy Drive. Below is the thank you letter from Ms. Atkinson: …On behalf of the children, families, and staff at Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous toy drive for children in the hospital. Our families and staff are so grateful to receive the toys. Knowing that they are donated by members of our generous community who are cheering them on from home to get better really means a lot to them. These toys also help children cope and play when they are in the hospital and we are so grateful to have them to help make their stay brighter. Thank you for taking the time to lead and organize such a great initiative for our children and their families. We look forward to your donation each year and have been able to give them out throughout the whole year, not just over the holidays. One of the brightest parts of the holidays is people like you. And your gift made it all the more special. Thank you so much! Wishing you all a wonderful 2023!
