This process involves self-discovery, community involvement, and reflection both inside and outside the classroom. Students can volunteer within the school, locally, nationally, or internationally. Service learning activities allow students to give back to their communities while supporting causes they are passionate about. These activities help students develop community awareness, balance various aspects of life, become independent, and gain valuable skills such as personal reflection, resilience, and collaboration. For their MYP Community Project, grade 8 students focused on various local and global issues, incorporating fundraising into their action plans. On February 7th, they hosted a Winter Market, selling baked goods, candies, treats, and handmade arts and crafts.
