Pre-School Winter Festival An indoor event this year, the Amarillo Campus held its annual Pre-School Winter Festival from February 22nd to 23rd. All classes made decorative Winter Festival headbands and joined in fun filled winter themed activities including throwing snowballs at elves, pin the head on the snowman, bean bag toss, bowling, and many more. There were lots of smiles and laughter all around. The students had a wonderful time playing games with their fellow students and celebrating winter! International Baccalaureate Theory of Knowledge Exhibition The February 26th International Baccalaureate (IB) Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition showcased the work of our talented grade 12 IB DP students. This event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their achievements and explore the fascinating world of TOK. Our students applied critical thinking and reflective skills they have developed throughout their TOK studies, to explore the nature, scope, and limits of human knowledge. At the heart of the TOK Exhibition, students presented their original projects that delve into various areas of knowledge, including mathematics, natural sciences, human sciences, history, arts, ethics and more. These projects addressed real-world issues, demonstrating the relevance and importance of a well-rounded, interdisciplinary education. Through their work, students made connections between academic disciplines and highlighted the value of examining knowledge claims from diverse perspectives. The TOK Exhibition also serves as a valuable learning experience for the entire school community. Students from grades 7 to 12 had the opportunity to engage with the work of their senior peers, sparking curiosity and inspiring them to think critically about the world around them. The exhibition fostered a sense of mentorship and collaboration between students of different ages, encouraging a lifelong love of learning. Congratulations to Ethan B., Zoe C., Cotaroy C., Komal, C., Ryan Ho Yin, C., Reshmika G., Hugh K., Adam M., Yousuf N., Zeon N., Aaron R., Nishtha S., Nilaxshi S., Ella S., Aryan V. and Tommy Y. for their great presentations at this year’s TOK Exhibition! Elementary Co-Ed Curling Champions! This year, we had enough interest in curling to form two Elementary teams. During the morning session on February 23rd, our teams along with the other SSAF school warmed up and practiced ahead of the championship round. Some schools were very experienced but our players didn’t let that intimidate them as they were determined to do their best. Congratulations to the team of Darcy T., Cindy L., Mackenzie D., Mackenzie H. and Ashna V. who earned the highest points overall and won the Elementary Co-Ed Curling Championship. They preformed well during round robin play tying their first two games and finished strong winning their last two games. Our second team of Lauren L., Sabariha U., Radin G., Tavaris G. and Austin P. put in a great effort winning their first game, tying their second game and losing their final two games placing 4th overall. Our players showed great teamwork and sportsmanship! Outstanding! Previous Page 1 Interim pages omitted … Page 27 Page 28 Page 29 Page 30 Page 31 Interim pages omitted … Page 115 Next
